AIMS Cape Cleveland jetty, beach and creeks dissolved nutrients, dissolved organic carbon and salinity (jetty only)

Seawater is collected from the AIMS Cape Cleveland jetty, beach and creeks around the site monthly for analysis of dissolved inorganic nutrients, dissolved organic carbon, salinity and temperature. Salinity and temperature are recorded at the jetty only. The data allows long term and seasonal trending.

Statement
Dissolved free reactive phosphate, nitrate, nitrite, ammonium and silicate are analysed by continuous segmented flow analysis. (SEAL AA3) Dissolved organic carbon is analysed by high temperature catalytic oxidation. (Shimadzu TOC-L) Salinity is measured by conductivity. (Guideline Portasal) Temperature is measured using a mercury thermometer. Analyses are conducted according to analytical technology laboratory standard operating procedures.
